Page 1 of 3 This is the same web page I used to have in read-bible.com When there are millions of web pages about the Bible, why build another one? I will explain. Why on earth did I build another Christian web site? That is a good question. Many of my friends ask me what is the reason for this site, and I keep asking myself every time I am about to build another page. Its main purpose is to help Christians find what they search My main verse for that was: Heb 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Let me explain how I ended up with read-bible.com: I use the internet many years now and basically for searching information. Information about my job (that is IS/IT/computers) and about my passion, the bible. What do you get when you search e.g. google about some words? I'll give you an example: Search 'read bible' result = 29.800.000 pages Search 'bible' result = 64.600.000 pages Search 'Christian' result = 173.000.000 pages What if you search for something more specific? Let’s say for Abigail in the bible? (I'll use that as an example since this was something I searched for and it became my first good page- ranking #1 in yahoo, at the time of this writting if you search for abigail bible woman) You search for 'Abigail' and you get 6.570.000 pages, and even if you get to the 5th page of google's results you will not find nothing relevant. So let’s say you become a bit more specific and you search for 'Abigail bible' or 'Abigail bible woman' You narrow your search to 443.000 pages and 279.000 pages and then you start browsing. And what do you find? Some good pages, some excellent pages and some absolutely useless pages. What if you put your search in quotes? At the time I built the page I got just one result http://woman-of-the-bible.marketonlineget.com/words.html an absolutely useless page :( So I found an opportunity :) Gal 6:10 As have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. (Thanks God, now, they come with better results.) So, with this as an example, I tried to find a way to provide good content and reliable results for the things that we Christians search. How on earth could I know what we search? And how could I know how many answers were there and if they are good? And how could I supply the need?
