The timeline of the apostle Paul

The year is 56 AD. The timeline of the apostle Paul continues...

He goes to northen Greece again i.e. Macedonia (Acts 20:1) from where he writes 2 Corinthians. From there he travels to southern Greece again where he writes the epistle to the Romans (Acts 20:2) and from there back to Macedonia (Acts 20:3). He continues his journey to Troas (Acts 20:4-12) Assos, Mitylene, Chios, Samos and Togyllium. (Acts 20:13-15). At Miletus he exhorts the Ephesian elders (Acts 20:15-38) and he continues to Rhodes, Patara and Phoenicia. (Acts 21:1, 2). From there he goes on to Tyre (Acts 21:3-6)then Ptolemais (Acts 21:7)Caesarea (Acts 21:8-14) and once again in the year 57AD Jerusalem (Acts 21:15-25) . There Paul gets arrested in the temple (Acts 21:26-36)and speaks to the mob (Acts 21:37 - 22:21). The fact that he was a Roman citizen saves him from scourging (Acts 22:22-29) and he ends up before the Sanhedrin (Acts 22:30 - 23:10)

In a vision Jesus tells him that he will bear witness of him in Rome, a fact already prophesied by Agabus (Acts 23:11) There is a plot against Paul's life (Acts 23:12-22)but he is warned an he is safely sent to Felix the governor (Acts 23:23-35). There he speaks before Felix (Acts 24:1-27)

The year is 59 AD and Paul appears before Festus (Acts 25:1-12). The journey to Rome is about o begin since his appeal (to see caesar) is honored (Acts 25:12)He stands before Agrippa (Acts 25:13 - 26:32) and then he departs for Rome and sails to Myra (Acts 27:1-5). They pass from Crete (Acts 27:6-8) and in spite of Paul's warning, they set sail again (Acts 27:9-12). A storm they gets them shipwrecked on the island of Malta (Acts 27:13 - 28:1) where they stay for a while(Acts 28:2-10). From there they sailsto Syracuse (Acts 28:11, 12), to Rhegium then Puteoli (Acts 28:13)and finally in the year 60 AD he arrives in Rome (Acts 28:14-16) where he is first imprisoned.

He does meet with the Jews there(Acts 28:17-28) and he preaches the gospel without hindrance for two whole years in his rented house (Acts 28:30-31). It is 61 AD and from there he writes Philemon, Colossians, Ephesians and Philippians.Next year he is released from the Roman imprisonment and he continues his missionary and ministry work. He writes 1 Timothy and Titus.

In the year 64 AD the great fire in Rome accurs and a major persecution of Christianity begins while Nero constructs the Domus Aurea and Paul writes 2 Timothy at 65 AD.

His second imprisonment and martyrdom under Nero happens in the year 66 AD, at the same time when the Jewish Revolt against Rome begins. In the next four years from Paul's death Josephus eventually surrenders to the Romans, Nero commits suicide, Vespian (69-79 AD) prevails as the Emperor and in the year 70 AD under Titus the destruction of the temple happens.
